ABOUT
Kahoa Pasifika Research Limited was founded by Filipo Katavake-McGrath. Filipo has extensive experience as a government policy advisor in economic development, health and labour markets. He is working towards a PhD in Pacific LGBTI peoples engagement in legislative and policy research. This study follows his last study into the experiences of Pacific policy makers and policy analysts of economic development policy in New Zealand.
Filipo is always happy to hear from potential clients who are wanting to evaluate their programmes or gain insights into Pacific and other indigenous and cultural approaches to economic development and engagement in political and policy processes.
Filipo is also developing a community-based journalism and knowledge resource focused on getting more people involved in policy decision-making and asking harder questions of governments. For more information, look out for tautala.co.nz

MANAGING DIRECTOR - KAHOA PASIFIKA RESEARCH LIMITED
My family is from Ma'ufanga in Tonga - and I spent my youth in Invercargill, New Zealand. I've worked as a journalist, marketing and communications manager, corporate strategist and policy analyst. I've worked in the broadcast media, museums, banking, health and state sectors. I specialise in delivering high-quality, useful research and evaluation services and engaging in research that enhances the wellbeing of people marginalised by political, policy and corporate processes.
